Inductive sensor ignition secondary circuit CX-3 is designed for easy capture of high-voltage waveforms on a fully electronic ignition systems, in particular systems coil on plug (EFS / COP). To capture the ignition during the contact area is sufficient to attach the sensor to the ignition coil. The resulting image is in quotation marks is sufficient for a quick overview. Use of the diagnosis
Due to the very high voltage (up to 40kV) that is typical for a secondary circuit, it is not possible to perform measurements by directly connecting the output of the coil, as is the case with measurement of primary. Trying to such measurement could seriously endanger the health of technology and certainly would lead to the destruction of the oscilloscope and computer. To measure the secondary therefore use capacitive and inductive sensors. Using inductive sensor CX-3 is very easy.
Examples of use – ignition systems:
– DIS (no distributor) fully electronic ignition.
– EFS / COP fully electronic ignition (coil on plug).
In the control program HANTEK 3064 / A and 1008C are preset measurements for highly accurate diagnosis of the secondary. In the preset measurement is integrated into the formula for the calculation of spark voltage (needle), the voltage at the spark discharge, burning time and duration of inductive oscillation.
