A simple pointing stick for little money?
Answer: Autoscope DSO 1008C

The most affordable automotive oscilloscope to the Czech and Slovak market. In its price range has autoscope HANTEK DSO 1008C competitor. Take advantage of introductory prices and get yourself automotive digital oscilloscope, with which you will learn to leverage the power of parallel diagnostics. Eight-channel digital oscilloscope automotive 1008C is designed for the needs of novice diagnosticians and technicians who do not initially purchase the automotive oscilloscope to invest higher amounts and the risk of damage or destruction of expensive equipment.

What do need a digital oscilloscope for?

There is no measuring or diagnostic device which would be able to replace the digital oscilloscope for electrical part tests. Many defects which are hidden and undetectable for series (OBD) diagnostics are easily identifiable for the oscilloscope. With a digital oscilloscope you will start detecting instead of guessing the faults. Mastering parallel diagnostics using a digital oscilloscope, although at a basic level, may be a competitive advantage which will make more and more customers return to you.

Obstacles for Beginners

One of the first obstacles for any beginner is the purchasing price of a digital oscilloscope. Automotive oscilloscopes are characterized by higher prices. Another obstacle may be a fear to use an expensive device. A digital oscilloscope is a relatively expensive device and one which is vulnerable to unprofessional use, which frequently results in irreversible damage. Last but not least, some theoretical and practical knowledge is required to master the basic skills to operate a digital oscilloscope. In short, unwillingness to learn new things is one of the reasons why car repair shops reject the oscilloscope.

Help for Beginners

Beginners usually find learning how to control an oscilloscope difficult, because they do not know how to connect it, set it up, and above all, they don´t understand the waveforms being displayed. The Hantek automotive oscilloscope control programme contains a database of preset waveforms, i.e. sensors and actuators which automatically set up the oscilloscope. For better understanding, we supply each profiset complete with the technical documentation to the preset measurements database. A work safety manual describes some of the wrong connections which would cause irreparable damage to the device. The last document is the Oscilloscope Basics Manual which outlines the fundamentals of oscilloscope theory every digital oscilloscope user should know.

Preset Measurements Database

To help beginning diagnosticians the programme contains a database of more than 80 preset sensor and actuator waveforms. The waveforms database is divided into 5 sections:

• Ignition circuits
• Sensors and actuators
• CAN-BUS/LIN-BUS tests
• Injection jet tests
• Charging circuits and compression tests

Compatibility

The oscilloscope is used solely for monitoring various electrical events ( courses ) in time. In the context of the use of the car there is limited compatibility with electrical – component sensor or actuator . Measurements using an oscilloscope can be done both on a personal and on a truck or motorcycle . Everything is just a matter of oscilloscope operation ie its proper setting and connection to the diagnostic component.

Technical design 1008C

The sampling rate 2400KHz (2.4 MHz ) amply sufficient for the needs of current measurements on analog sensors such as MAP and MAF sensors , oxygen sensors , temperature sensors , Speed sensors (inductive and Hall ) , etc. For detailed monitoring and analysis of fast processes , we recommend purchase much faster Autoscope 3064 DSO / A ( 60MHz ) . For most measurements amply sufficient sampling frequency to 1 MHz. Durable sturdy plastic encapsulation protects the device in harsh environments workshop environment . Sturdy box hides a well-designed and manufactured equipment manufacturer of automotive oscilloscope Hantek.

The user interface of the program is clear, intuitive and user- friendly even for less experienced users.

Key features for autodiagnostics

A key feature of autoscope 1008C is a comprehensive database of preset measurements for a variety of sensors and actuators. Among the most important features include:

• Preset measuring self diagnosis
• Generator arbitrary signals
• Automatic measurement
• Monitoring and evaluation of measurement values
• Measurement cursors
• Zoom function for Waveforms
• External trigger
• Record the measured waveforms
• Save a screen shot
• Print a report for the customer

Autoscope 1008C has a number of standard , which are normally encountered in laboratory oscilloscopes. Essential functions are measuring cursors or function evaluation of current measurements with a large range of values of both the time and voltage base. Of the special features we can mention for example the 8 -channel pulse generator , and LVTTL logic output frequency range 0 – 250kHz .

Program and Updates

The user interface of the program is intuitive and user- friendly even for less experienced users. Licence program is not tied to one computer . Updating the program are free.

Good price – optimum performance

Hantek provides an alternative and provides a balanced price / performance ratio . Development and manufacture of measuring equipment goes forward seven-league steps , everyone understands that in the last decade prices have fallen sharply computing. Field measurement techniques , therefore, is no exception. Hantek offers cheap and high quality solutions , but not the most perfect . Autoscopes from Hantek serve well for beginners and students. With low cost are available for every mechanic and people interested in parallel diagnosis. After mastering skills and gaining practical experience, surely everyone fired mechatronics buy an expensive oscilloscope perfect and not have to worry about using it. AUTOSCOPE DSO 1008C has in its price category competitor. Affordable comparable products are not designed for measurement in the auto- repair experience and at the same time do not even reach half the sampling frequency.
