Automotive attenuator HT-20:1 is a passive attenuator which adjusts the range of the measured voltage to the input range of the A/D oscilloscope converter. The attenuator is designed to measure the voltage of the primary circuit of the ignition coil and the voltage of the injection nozzles. In both cases, it is important to remember that this is a measurement of higher voltage and incorrect connection leads to serious damage of the measuring device/oscilloscope.
Dividing ratio 20:1 means that 20V on the input will be suppressed to 1V on the output. It is possible to measure voltage of up to 300V by suppressing the signal by this attenuator. High-frequency parameters of the attenuator (bandwidth 10 MHz) provide very accurate depiction of measured waveforms.
